Jane and Tims beautiful Cumbrian wedding

Stunning, blue and gold silk fishtail gown and jacket.

Fluffing the bride

We spent a fab few days up in Cumbria nearly a month ago now, where we attended the wedding of Tim and Jane. Janes dress was a beautiful blue with a stunning unique gold embroidered designed by us, her gown looked stunning against the backdrop of Brentwood, an amazingly beautiful house once belonging to John Ruskin and overlooking Coniston water. Baring in mind we had snow the week before, and it was forecast that weekend the sun was shining down on us all day, with not a snowflake insight.

Over the next few weeks, as they are released we will add some more of Jane and Tims stunning wedding photos.

Just want to say a big thank you to both of you, your family and friends for making us so welcome on your special day.

Cambridge Style Week

Following the wedding we were down in Cambridge for Cambridge Style week, we had been kindly invited by Nikki Shepard to showcase our gowns on the Best of British catwalk, alongside Alice Temperley and many other designer labels.
The pictures speak for themselves, but this was a great opportunity to show our alternative wedding gowns to an audience who may not of been aware of who we were.  Big thank you to the models, who made our dresses look amazing and the hair and make up people who created some great looks for the girls.

Prom Season is upon us

Chiffon prom gown abiProm season comes around faster every year, we now see clients for prom dresses in September for the following summer, we have nearly taken our quota of prom dresses for this season, so we thought we would pop a selection of last years dresses in our new section Prom dresses, so you can see what we are up to.

All our Prom gowns are designed for each client with a red carpet feel to them, the girls have the same treatment as our brides, toile fits and fittings to make the whole experience special for them.

Have a look at these dresses as they could also be used as evening wear and bridesmaid dresses, for something a little different.

Enjoy xx

Weird and Wonderful Wedding World 13th April 2013 At-Bristol Science Musuem

We are pleased to let you know that we will be showing our range of alternative bridal gowns, lingerie and wedding gifts at the first Weird and Wonderful Wedding World on the 13th April 2013 based in the amazing At- Bristol Science Museum.

With a free Kir Royale on arrival you can enjoy the stunning views from the Northside balcony, mixing urban with classic – the modern steel building framing Bristol Cathedral – or enjoy people-watching over Millennium Square and the silver sphered Planetarium overlooking Bristol to the south.

The show will appeal not only to brides out there looking for something really different, but to quirky couples who want to dress up, have a cocktail or two, listen to local bands, dance or chill out, whilst surrounded by the weirdest and most wonderful wedding suppliers on one floor, making it a great night out. You can enjoy a fashion show under the stars in the Planetarium, watch jugglers, close-up magicians and living statues and, when your man gets tired, send him off to the ‘man creche’ to play on all the interactive science centre exhibits (and, of course, you can have a play too!).

No matter who you are, there will be something for everyone at this stunning event – whether you’re looking for just a touch of the unusual or a full-on theatrical wedding! Come down to see it all and have a drink with us on Saturday 13th April. We can’t wait to meet you all on the night!! Bottoms Up!

New Year New Look New Website

Well what can I say, the last 8 years have been a roller coaster of many many ups and luckily very few downs, our brand which we started back in 2005 in our kitchen has moved in so many directions, but for the last 6 years we’ve been firmly in the wedding arena and I love it. Meeting the brides to be, their mums and friends, working closely with them, experiencing their wedding through their eyes, and on their wedding day even steadying their nerves. Every wedding has been as individual and as special as they are.

My main aim has always been to try and make each bride feel as comfortable as possible, a home from home, so they aren’t scared to ask for what they truly want, we laugh, we cry when everyone gets emotional as the final dress is being tried on, and we always have a good supply of tea for everyone.

Our brides have travelled far and wide and from places including Scotland, Cornwall, Devon, London and even from France for us to make them their dream dress, we are still in contact with many of them who  keep in touch by email, facebook and now I’ve ventured into the twittersphere hopefully through that too. They come back for retro/burlesque outfits from our sister site www.angelicweapons.co.uk and sometimes just for a catch up and a cup of tea, and some (helen you know who you are) even bring homemade cakes.

So its a New Year and a new Angels Carrying Savage Weapons, our new site reflects everything about us, we are eclectic, quirky and a little unusual, although not too scary that we frighten anyone off  I’m inspired by so many things that I couldn’t just stick to one thing, so we have created a website which should make finding what you want much easier, there is plenty of eye candy not only from our own galleries but from a selection of our brides. We are developing our range of personalised bridal lingerie and wedding gifts which really took off at the NEC wedding show last October and will be showcasing more delights as we get them photographed.

We have booked some exciting new shows this year which we haven’t shown on before and will hopefully get the Angels bridal range known by more bridal followers.

I hope you enjoy having a browse around the new site and if there is something you want and you cant find it, let me know as we love nothing better than tackling a new project.

Enjoy your wander through our new home

Lindsay xx

Dont forget for all your retro burlesque inspired fashion please visit our sister site www.angelicweapons.co.uk shes having a facelift behind the scenes at the moment as all us girls have to have a little TLC occasionally but she is still working and will be launched with her new look soon.
